I was browsing ebay, noticed a set of 6Jx15 fuchs, the seller says they are rare and the bids also indicate. I got a pair of 6Jx15 Fuchs when I got the parts car, only difference are mine are black. Are these rare and why? Anyone know? I was going to put them on my 77, I really want 16s but I already have these. Will 16s even fit my car? I'm curious to why these are so rare??
Thanks in advance Shawn |

Shawn, I think the only reason they are rare is because most drivers opt for wheels wider than 6" these days. I have 6jX15 on my 1974 and I'm looking for 16x6 and 16x7 to put on.

Shawn;
I went to the ebay site for a look. Those are deep dish 15x6's. They are more rare than the later 15x6's that had a more shallow lip around the inside edge of the wheel. The high bid at the moment is $400. Not a bad price for these wheels, IMO. ------------------ Clint 73T mfi coupe |

I not so long ago purchased a set for the equivalent of $900 in the UK. They are rare over there because the cars in in short supply. Over there, the vintage rally guys all collect sets of them. During my search for the correct ones for my 73T, I found three different types of 6Jx15. The deeper dish non-tubeless <73, the 73 standard rim tubeless and the >73 standard front rim tubeless with the later centre (sorry... center) cap. They are not so rare over here. You are simply being charged a premium $$$ for a so-called antique part, I think.
