Help Identifying Transaxle
Can someone help me understand what this transaxle is from and if it is 4 or 5 speed etc...
Thanks in advance Maze 901.301.101.2R also has these numbers on the bottom; 719 6207 |
The 901.301.101.2R number is a casting/part number. The tranny serial number 719 6207 seems to be for a 1979 911SC. It should have another number, a type number, and it should be 915/61 which will confirm it is an SC 5 speed.

Interistingly, 7196207 is a valid 1969 901/13 number also (7193001 to 7198787). You can tell just by identifying the treansmssion or by the type number. in '80 Porsche fixed the conflict.

That is interesting Grady. Looking forward to knowing the trans type now. Was the 69 a 5 speed as well or were there both 4 and 5 speeds available?
