Konis vs Bilsteins

Everyone here seems to recommend Bilsteins. My 1974 911S came with Konis. If the car is to be setup as a hot street/some track(DE and Autocross) car what are the advantages of switching struts and going with the Bilsteins? I am about to embark on a complete suspension rebuild and plan on making several enhancements. These will include polybronze bushings, 22/29 torsions, larger and/or adjustable sway bars, turbo tie rod ends and new ball joints.

Is it worth the extra money and effort to swap out the struts and use the re-valved Bilsteins?
