996 Hardtop Hoist
I am in the market for a hardtop hoist for my 996 cab and have noticed that there are a few different manufactures and costs can vary by up to $200. I am looking for a manual hoist and was hoping someone could recommend the best (most secure) hoist on the market. Any info or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The best hoist out there is made by Sto Away. You should be able to find the company with any search engine. It's pricey but it's the best.

If you live close to sailing waters, visit a boating store and check out the sailing hardware. A couple of blocks, cam cleats, hook eyes for the ceiling and 25 feet of line ought to be enough for a custom hoist to meet your needs. And for a whole lot less money that these kits that are on the market. This set up works for suspending bicycles from the garage ceiling too.
