Questions about AC & fitting OEM 930 tail to SC lid

Have just purchased a 930 tail for my SC and am trying to work out the best way of dealing with the AC condenser. Questions...

Do I really need to move the condenser from under the SC grille up to under the whaletail grille? What parts do I need to do that and will I have to have the system discharged? If I don't, will the already poor air-cond performance suffer? If I fit the larger Turbo condenser, will this have a significant improvement on my air-conn performance? Has anyone tried the $300 air-conn add-on from Tweeks that is supposed to cool the air down another 20deg?

I have a tail on 83SC the condensor coil was left under the deck lid and not moved higher.
My AC works great for a 911.

Hello

For an good working AC you must avoid that air can bypass the condensor.

So put it as high as possible and/or make same shrouding. Higher position has also the nbenefits to clear the ignitioncoil and that part gets more cooling.

Right now I´m not sure about what year Turbo wing you have ( big mesh 3,3 unit ? )

If you have the large unit then just move it up into the front portion like on your old lid. Make an plasticcover to fill out the rest. Would be nice if you could support the middle like on the old lid. I think the clamp can be modified and use the upper bolt.
