Rubber & seals

A number of rubber seals(especially around the doors and the targa top), and sill plates have to be replaced on my car. Any suggestions how to remove adhesive gunk that was use before, and what should be use to apply (especially for sill plates).
Also I have heard of hard top and saratoga tops for Targas. They seem to be very difficult to locate. Any clues?
Final question: installing/connecting retractable(964) spoiler? More the electrical component side.
