Some advices please....

Hi all the guy's !!!

Is a member able to say me the difference between "Wevo precision shift join "(part wvo-psj-s2) and the "Stomski racing precision shift coupler "(part Stomski-sr010) please ?

Is someone using this part and what's his experience about this upgrade ?

Thanks !!! and good X-mas !!!!

Cedric.

Hello Cedric, welcome to the board!!
I use the WEVO coupler joint, along with a Rennshift shifter and new bushings on my 73 targa 915 trans.
Hard to say how much better the WEVO joint is, as I installed it & the shifter at the same time.
The main advantage I think of the coupler is that it has very free motion in all directions with very low free play. Any free play at this point is magnified by the shift lever ratio, so less is better.
As far as Stomski vs WEVO, I would say tthey are pretty much equal in their design and quality - also in price $$.

Good luck with your renovations. Merry Christmas!

Wow !!! What a quickly and clear answer Silverc4s !!! Thanks for it !!!
I 'm tired to replace my shift coupling join , so i think i'm going to buy this part.
And what about installing it ??
Easy ??

Install is very easy. I just did it on my 70T and I am far from an accomplished wrench. Make sure you note and measure the shifter rod positions of the old coupler and match the new one to it.

Thanks again.
I'll do a point to replace it with precision.

I use the Stomski version but WEVO makes impeccable products so I'm sure either one is great. A fully refurbished factory bushing works well, but the precision joints will last a lot longer and with less resistance.
