Does anyone run 255/45/17 on 17x9.5 and 285/40/17 on 17x11?
Does anyone run 255/40/17 or 255/45/17 on 17x9.5 and 285/40/17 on 17x11? Will the tires base be too narrow compare to wheels width? Any pics, similar sizes are ok?

Maybe I should edit my question to does anyone know if it's ok to have 255/40/17 or 255/45/17 on 17x9.5 and 285/40/17 on 17x11? Will the tires base be too narrow for these wheels, and do they make the hanlding bad?

those are the exact sizes i have on my 72 rsr clone. i have a clearence problem with the rsr front fenders but that is due to too little backspace on the wheels. the tires fit great on those size wheels. the tires are kumho ecsta type and are reasonably priced.
