The Official Dallas Fort Worth get together thread
Hi,
I keep missing Dallas Fort Worth get togethers, because I don't check Pelican all the time... So I was thinking If we have just ONE thread with the current Dallas plans, than I and everyone else can just subscribe and always receive notification of the next up coming Dallas events? Dallas/Ft Worth get together to meet Early S Man - Saturday 12/22

OK, I'm officially subscribed to this thread. And, the fact I've got a running 911 is all the more good! I know Mark Wilson is getting together a meet at the hospital to meet Early S Man (Warren) for the 22nd, what about a coffee the Saturday (12/29) between Christmas and New Years? I need to get miles on my new engine, the quicker I do, the better I'll be set for the track...
We could do the usual Starbuck's at Frankfort and Preston (NE corner) or the Original Pancake House downtown if people would rather have a full breakfast. I guess it's too early to know what the weather will be like...

You should put this thread on the Tex-Mex regional forum instead of the 911 technical forum. We use our regional forum in the Pac Northwest all the time for local events and it works great.

Scott, the texmex forum stays pretty dead. We don't have the depth of PNW.

That is too bad that your Tex-Mex regional forum is dead. Maybe this is a great opportunity to encourage more local activity by using the regional forum. If I ever move to Austin (always a possibility) I would definitely try to get that regional forum going. It has been great asset up here in the Pacific Northwest. Either way, you Texas guys must have more activities!

cross post re Early S Man meet ths Saturday 12/22
All, Warren should be getting out of the hospital in the next week or so and I thought we may want to drop by and wish him well and Merry Christmas. I know it's late notice and many of you are traveling out of town, but for those still here, it will be a good opportunity to spread some Christmas cheer to one of our most valued members. How about we gather at the hospital Saturday morning, 12/22 about 9:30? The hospital is St Paul UT Soutwestern. It's on the NW corner of Inwood and Harry Hines. Who's in? |

This is my first posting on this site and I am proud that it is on one that was started by some fellow Texas folks!
I recently purchased (this summer) a 1983 911 Cabriolet and am having a blast upgrading it and playing with all the bells and whistles. So far no regrets! For Christmas I am spoiling her and adding a pop off valve, upgradeing the chain tentioners, valve adjustment and oil change, fuel filter, euro side marker lights, racing pedals, CD player and speakers, stone guards and new wipers. (Pelican really likes me). I just came off of the biggest project I have ever had on this or any car. I replaced the convertible top myself. It was tedious and took roughly 16 hours in the span of two weeks. My hands hurt just remembering the ordeal! Well got to go for now but I will keep checking in on you guys and maybe I can meet up with you all some time. I will post a picture of my toy soon. Have a Merry Christmas! |
