Idle air bypass

I recently completed my little project of removing everything off the top of my engine to fix/prevent several existing/potential vacuum leaks. Replaced all the vacuum lines, oil breather hoses, injector o-rings and sleeves, intake runner boots and gaskets, etc. Got everything put back together last night. Just have one remaining question - what is the correct setting for the idle air bypass that is located on the left side of the throttle body. The car is a '80 with CIS. Approximately how many turns out should the adjustment screw be? Thanks for your help.

This screw is used to set the idle speed, (big slotted with spring on it) so you need to just adjust it until the idle speed is around 950 to 1050 RPM's. Do not adjust the idle speed by changing the stop nut on the throttle butterfly. Use a timing light with a tachometer if you can. My dash tach is off by about 200 RPM's.

Good Luck.
Nick.
