Rear window defroster question

Does anyone know where the harness physically feeds in to the window? Is it from the bottom, or the top of the window?

Also, second question, my car has the defroster relay that looks like a metal box, not the round black relay:

I've opened it up, and there's two relays in there, and some circuitry. My defroster switch on the dash has two positions, the first position activates one of the relays, and when I pull it out all the way, both are activated. This box appears to provide some sort of dual purpose, but what are they? (I'm sure if I had an owners manual it would help)

Thank you.

Jon

What I know is that the defroster has two levels of heat, slow defrost (one relay) and quick defrost (the second relay). Others will have to chime in on how the wires are routed.

They go through the package tray area into the window seal on the drivers side bottom corner. (about a inch from the corner) You can trace them back to the fuse box , they run around the back of the fuel filter.

sweet, awesome, apparently when my rear window was reinstalled, they didn't hook up the defroster...

I found a wealth of information in this thread:

Here are some pics. I just re-installed the rear window and de-frost as part of my restoration project. Note that the interior pic is with the window just sitting in place -- before "pulling the string". That's why the white lip is visible around the window. The seal goes over the lip.

Wow, very clean, I found that exact hole that passes up into the rear shelf area, but there's no wires running through it. :( In fact, I don't see the wires laying around anywhere, I'll have to do some more investigating...possibly have to run my own wires up there...we'll see...
