Creating a replica window sticker
My wife is a graphics art designer and I asked her if she thought is was possible to duplicate a replica window sticker for my 87 911. She pretty much said no problem. If any body can help by emailing me a copy of there OEM window sticker we will give it a try. I was thinking that the more I have the better. If she is successful i would be more than willing to make some for anybody on the forum.

Sounds like a good idea. If I knew what one looked like for a '72 I might be interested.

I'm VERY interested
I've thought about this myself recently. I also have an '87
The closest I have is the low-resolution image below, which I am e-mailing to you. I've tried to make a sticker from this, but I don't have pricing for the options in '87 so a properly itemized sticker can be created. The closest I have is European delivery program prices for '86. BTW, this is not for my car. Mine is a black/black sunroof coupe (911 340, L700 LT, options C02, 160, 220, 341, 395, 473, 533, & 650). If you & your wife can create a good image file, I can probably modify it for my specific car, if I had the pricing info and the "official" Porsche names for the various options. Thanks much http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1198953270.jpg |
Several show up in Yahoo! image search. More in a Google image search. Quite a few on Dogpile, Ixquick and Webcrawler as well!

The image link is great but I think I will need to buy one off of like ebay to get the image clear.... or if it was a pdf ....

Does anyone have a sample of what a 78 Sticker might look like ? ? ?
Thanks in advance - just curious really, Tom |
Assuming you have the correct fonts, you could gin that up in PowerPoint no problem. Even the gas pump can be drawn from scratch with reasonable accuracy.

I know that this is off topic but looking at Noel's window sticker reminds me that this sure is an expensive hobby. $31,000 invested in a run-of-the-mill CD in 1980 at 5% would be about $124,000 today! Put it in a broad market index fund at historic averages and you'd get close to 1/2 million by now!! Yikes.

Thanks guys -- this is fantastic.
Now, we're off to Soldier Field and the Bears V Saints . . . -Tom |

Speaking of which, I have seen a few window stickers from the 1978-1987 time frame and it reminded me how much inflation was during that period. Truly incredible how my stickers shows a $25K base and DW1 shows a $40K price. I prefer the current 2-3% rates of inflation. |
this would perfect. any one have one for an 82 cs. put me on your list!

Very NICE!!!!!
can you email me that? |

Thanks again Ian.
Does anyone have an example if an ROW would have a sticker? I guess it would depend on the original destination country in Europe, etc now that I'm thinking about it. I'd be curious to know if anyone had anything for an ROW. Specifically an 911 SC Targa from 1978. Thanks again! |
Window Sticker
DW1,
That is pretty good work. Could you sent me that image please? CDR V.8, EPS, jpg, etc. Thanks a million! rbuch2500@hotmail.com 911-pilot |
I'd love to have a copy of it too, Ian.
miatainsc@gmail.com Thanks again! Great work! So does anyone have a break down of prices of available options by year? I'm sure there is somewhere... Thanks, Mike |
I'll second Mike's request -- because you have an 84 ROW, I wonder if it even had a smiliar type of window sticker. I'm sure it depended on the regulations in the destination country.
Would love to know what ROW cars had on them -- if anything. |
