Post hints to get stuck torsion bar out

I saw that there was a previous posting on how to get the torsion bar out of the spring plate. I have the opposite problem, mine is stuck at the inner spline. Any hints on how to get this out.

Definitely try removing the other side.
I had a similar problem: Right side wouldn't budge.Removed the left side, and right side then came out with no problem -- not driven out, just pulled and out it came. No explanation, except that the bars had copious amounts of grease on them so maybe some sort of vaccum or suction, far fetched though it may be.

I had one side come out completely, then I got a rerod from Home Depot and drove out the other side. If the outer splines are stuck, drill a hole in the end and use a punch to drive out bar. If really stuck, apply a lot of heat before using punch to drive out. Fill in the hole when finished.
