Trunk carpet ideas

I'm looking for trunk upholstery ideas !

Currently I have modified my carpets to fit round my strut Brace and blower panel.

I like the idea of panels, rather than carpets.

Let's see yours?

Thanks

Interested in this. I took the ratty carpet out of mine. I've always felt that the trunk carpet looks half arsed and just thrown in like an after thought. I think a detailed frunk / no carpet is better, but I'd love to see any custom ideas.

I took mine out also. However, i intend to clean up the trunk, perhaps paint some sections, and maybe make a panel to cover the gas tank and spare.

I would also like to take the carpets out, but not sure where to start with all the cables etc...
I am also thinking of deleting the spare wheel

I do like the singer trunk, however my budget is capped.

What does everyone else have?????

Lots of threads on this. My carpet came out during ownership week one. I never liked how it looked. Here is how things look at the moment:

I'm impressed how good the simple white frunk looks. No need for fancy carpeting with the parts crisply contrasting against the clean white. So much easier to see things.

I was thinking this too. Offcamber00 can we see a wider shot of your frunk? Love the black painted gas tank.

I took the factory carpet out, and just do a carpet mat sold by the host:

Floor, Trunk and Cargo Mats - Pelican Parts

at the same time, I have the rennline strut tower brace and the rennline blower cover. The blower cover is so much nicer than the factory cardboard.

Never knew Lloyds did frunk and trunk mats...hmmmm that may be nice in the 914 too.

Battery is a Universal Power motorized wheelchair battery that has the same specs (but not price tag) of an Odyssey PC680. I've had it for 4 years now...keep it on the trickle when i'm at home and have had no issues. I'll try and grab a pic in there shortly.

Very clean OffCamber00! Love the battery relocate. Is that the Rennline strut brace? Looks like you've had the tank out and resprayed the whole frunk?

I've got a lot of work to do on mine. PO had a battery explosion. Tons of corrosion near the battery area and on the underside of the hood. The cardboard on one side of the blower cover is broken and the fuse box cover was duct taped on.

I took my spare out along with the jack and the tool kit. It's like 40lbs plus. I'm missing the pump anyway, so not like the spare would have helped me. When I do a road trip I'll find an original pump and put it back in.

Strut brace is Wevo Camber King. Yes, tank out to refinish. Actually hand painted the trunk using color matched Alkyd Resin enamel.

Can you explain or show how the trickle charge studs work through the smugglers box door?

Are they attached to the door or you drop them in when you are ready to trickle charge?
