polished 15" fuch rims...worth much?

hello everyone. my name is jared, just purchased a 87' 911 cpe
im quite new to the 911 community and i was told this is a great place to start learning and asking questions.

when i purchased the car it came with polished 15x6/7 fuch wheels. i would like to keep the car to spec. so im in the market for 16' fuch rims.
Porsche Dismantler in L.A. quoted me about $1grand for 16x6/7 with tires
and told me to trade in my 15's they'd give me $300 for my rims.
is $300 for 15" fuch rims totally bogus? let me know your thoughts.

also..let me know if theres any other good places to shop for used fuch wheels.

btw. heres some pics of my 911.

-jared

If you wheels are not replica fuchs....they are worth at least a grand, unless damaged...and IMHO, worth more than the 16s.

Welcome and beautiful car. Not an expert on wheels but 300 is crap. Are the 15's 'spec'? They are on mine.

I would keep them. They look great and 15"s were optional in '87 (7" and 8"s). Your car will not feel as quick with the 16's.

15's

mine has 15's- only problem is tire choice can be limited.

before Wheel Enhancement

During Wheel Enhancement (donor rims)

After Wheel Enhancement

I like them

My advice- purchase 16's and keep the 15's- not as many 15's around anymore.

Your fuchs (beautiful car, btw) look to be 15x7 and 15x8. These are worth approx $500/all 4 if you're in a hurry, or $700/set if you're not. I sold mine for $500/set.

16x7, 8--can be found for $1600/set if you're not in a hurry, and if you scour the classified here on PP or ebay, etc.
Nobody wants 16x6,7 (you won't either--narrow, no lippage, uncool), so keep what you've got until you find some 16x7,8 or 16x7,9

The only reason you're getting such rapid response is cuz you followed rule #1=posting a pic of your car.

Are you in LA? (state your location in your profile)

Dude---jump on these:
930 Fuchs 8x16 pair

another ad selling 16x7 (pr) for $350 (red painted centers)

With shipping, you can have a set of 16x7,8's for around $1500. Then you'll be stylin'.

mine with 16x7,8
