I have a 71 911e Turbo look sitting on a complete 78sc suspension. When I finally bit
the bullet and bought the 4 new shocks, I had a strange problem. The front koni inserts I put in(boge strut)came with very small shock tower rubbers and the sleeve keeper. My 71 originally had a Huge rubber, which I proceeded to knock out to put these other ones in there.***Should I have done this?? The style of rubber is completely different! ALSO**there were 2 metal rings that came with the front inserts..they have no thread on them-they are clad plated--what are these for? The instructions are vauge to say the least............ Thanks.........S |

the rings may be used to center the top of the insert before installing the cap. the rubbers are probably ok. too tall limits the travel.
