Did you see the price tag on them? You thought ssi's and a muffler were expensive these are more then a set of ssi's. nice muffler but come on. wish I could get those premiums

prices have climbed steeply over the last few years as the USD sunk - shipping is more now too

With the exchange rate and air shipping I just sent Monty about $700 US for my muffler today. Not bad for what it is and air shipping IMHO.

Why not go with the M&K muffler? Ben's work is first rate, and there are several different tip configurations to choose from. Can buy right here from our host or from Ben directly. Light weight, beautiful welds, great sound, reasonably priced and built by an enthusiast who participates on this forum.

All I can offer on this is that I know what it costs to ship a muffler to austrailia and US that is approx $300 so Monty is selling mufflers for $400? That seems very reasoanble but not so sure you are getting the real thing? Are they being made by the same factory? Just kind of blown away as last US price tags were approx 1K

I guess my point is we make them(hand TIG welded stainless mufflers) right here in the US (burlington WI ) and I could not offer them for that price shipped and survive.

But to keep it fair. If not buying our product monty would be my suggestion

Yeah steve may have some stashed as well. there also is one for sale in the classifieds. the orignal price was $922 2 years ago and he was looking for $500 used.

He and Rothsport have a 2/2 and some SSIs when I checked last week. Dave Aase has a new 1/2 for $1k. There have been some 1/1s for 3.0s around here. Direct from Monty is good news.
