rebuilt engine

where can I purchase a rebuilt up to a 3.0? Does anyone recommend a reputable shop that sells rebuilds:confused:

Talk to Henry at Supertec Performance http://www.supertecperformance.com/
He sometimes builds an extra this time of year. If not, he might have a line on a rebuildable core he can do for you. He did that for me a few years ago and I have been more than satisfied with my 3.0. IMHO he is the best in the business.

IMHO, find a local shop and have them build you the engine you want. If need be, buy a core from here or one of the dismantlers.

+1 on supertec

we don't have much for local shops in the area that even work on them. I am not getting much recommendation from local club members either. My club is in Tulsa, 150 miles from where I live in AR. It was suggested that maybe I could find something in this forum and just buy a motor and have it shipped in

Most of Supertec's business is rebuilding engines shipped to them. They get them in from all over the world. Since they specialize...they can build exactly what you want...from mild to crazy...and still keep thier prices reasonable. If you need a core, Henry might be able to find the right one at a lower price than you can. If that is the case, it might save a lttle on shipping too. Since no 911 engine or 911 rebuild is cheap...you are wise to do it right the first time.
