And I though my web page was hard to navigate.

Let's see, there's:

http://www.toy-jet.ls1fun.com/about.html

Which also has two other pages, all with pictures of the same car, and precious little text.

Then there's a buried link to:

http://www.toy-jet.com/

Where there's a lot of text about the revolutionary cooling system, that looks like this:

And contains this disparaging assessment of rival water-cooling systems for 911-V8 conversions:

In some cases the battery has to be relocated and the gas tank removed then cut in half to make room for the front mounted radiator. (this procedure destroys the authenticity of the automobile.) (His emphasis)

He's worried about destroying the authenticity of the automobile?

Now, normally, I'm not fundamentally opposed to V8 911 conversions, but who -- exactly --is this guy trying to sell product to? And how could you drive anywhere with that tail?

An amusing read.

The best line on that page:
"I offer the only V8 conversion kit to date that does not sacrifice the authenticity
of the vehicle."
Huhh??
Pro or con on the conversion, it hard to say that a 911s authenticity is not sacrificed a bit by the installation of a Chevy engine.

And that wing -- it looks like a flying Japanese monster has affixed itself to the rear decklid and is trying to fly away with the car.

"All your Porschev are belong to us."

I say, let it take the thing.

LOL!
And, the second best line:
"Accordingly, the radiator can be virtually concealed"
Yeah, looking at that car, I can't imagine where the radiator is hidden!

He describes this as the "new and improved kit". I think his original design had refrigerator coils salvaged off the back of an old Norge strapped to the targa top.

The most heinous part of the crime may be the impact strips on the doors.

Is that K&N filter really underneath that car?
How long would that stay clean?.
Very amusing project for someone who like things out of the ordinary!
But does it have any practical purpose?

I think he should substitute the word "authenticity" for "reversible". The car is not cut up.
And judging by the look of that wing "reversible" is what you'll be doing after the first embarrassing time you take that contraption out for a night on the town.
Any (if any) weight savings obtained by the LS1 were very quickly lost by having the radiator on top the motor.
I can see not wanting to cut up the car, but total reversibility? Minimal irreversible modifications are the best you can hope for if you do any conversion correctly. You should easily be able to cool the car AND not cut it up by using an RSR type bumper and a front radiator - just like the racers do.
I guess you gotta give the guy credit for his ingenuity, now about those asthetics.....
