Oil Dip Stick -original or late oil sender?
Not sure how, but I somehow misplaced my oil dipstick. Sucks, I can't find it in the engine compartment (I thought maybe it may have fell inside somewhere) and figure the only place I could have set it down the last time I checked/filled the oil was in the garage.... yet can't seem to locate it. ...I have a 1 1/2 year old son who likes to "help" me in the garage ...so he could have hidden it from me?!
I am looking to order a new one on PP's, They show two models for '74-80 911 + 930's. Model #930-107-731-00-M100 -is for "original oil senders" Model #930-107-731-01-M100 -is for "late oil senders (81-89). I assume since my 930 is a '77 it uses the "original oil sender"? Didn't know there was a difference, can anyone tell me what the difference is and is the "original oil sender" dipstick the correct one for a '77 turbo? thanks,

I would double check with the folks at PP. Always helpful when you call.
Not to take away a sale from PP, but did you double check below the tank and besides the valve cover? I bet you it's in there....Where do you usually place it when checking/replacing oil?
