Post SC/Carrera rocker covers on early 911

Under the rocker deco trim on the pre-74 911s, there's a small unfinished section that's visible if you're low enough -- where the oil lines go on the passenger side.

The SC and Carrera had rocker panel covers:

Could these be adapted to cover more on the early cars (one with SC flares in the back, for instance)? The part I'm talking about is made clear in this picture:

Anything is possible with the correct amount of cash, Jack.

I believe the jack plug would be in the same place considering your car isn't a short wheel base car and you have already added the carrera flares so I would think it would be possible.
Find a used beat up, used SC/Carrera rocker panel and just trial fit it to see if it is even possible.

Wait a second...it just occured to me that I have seen a pre-'73 911 updated to the later look so it MUST be possible to do.

good luck,

Jack, The later rockers will fit your car without any major modification. (I'm not sure but you may need to drill some holes for the sheet metal screws if the holes don't line up.) I've seen it done and it's a great look. I'm planning on doing it to my 72' Targa project. The later rockers help hide the pan which is what I think your looking for. Just keep in mind that you need SC rockers because of your flares. The 74' to 77' rockers won't fit the SC flare.

Jack,
I installed them on my '69 with RS flares. They fit fine and hide the "troublesome" oil lines.

Well, I should have asked sooner. Those were up for sale on eBay, and sold for around $40. They wouldn't have required any paint, probably, too. But I didn't post here until right before the auction ended.

Thanks, though. I'll keep a look out for another set...

Hello

Yes it is an bolt on. Except the little "U-hat" bends on the lower panel are missing. They where used only on the right side to screw the oilline plates on but ainīt to find left side. So you musst use longer screws and drill into the floorpan.
