Post SC Oil Tank

My thermostat to tank pipe had stripped the thread from the tank end when I was refurbishing the oil pipes. I bought a 3/4BSP x 30mm adaptor from a hydraulic company and the local Marina engineer 'silver soldered' (sort of welding) the new adapter on. Fingers crossed I will fit it this weekend. Still waiting on a new thermostat tho so no action yet.

Ensure that all of the flouride-based flux the gentleman used to silver solder/braze the piece in is gone. Hot water soak and a brush will do this. It is extremly corrosive (especially to the lungs: don't ask me how I know!).
