Early vs late SC Cams interchangeable?

I need to confirm that engines with the later style SC cams with nut fixture can use the cams that had the bolt fixture.

The cam profiles are the same. Either cam can be used in any SC engine but you need the bolts for the bolt type cam and the nuts for the nut type cam. The only difference is whether you have a bolt or a nut holding the sproket on. Of course you also need different tools to tighten and loosen them.
