Rear brake sugestions for a 930

Hi,

I have a 79 930. The original calipers are gone. The front axle has 993 front calipers with adapters, the rear has nothing.

I was thinking that I would be able to use one of the variants of 944T/964/993 calipers to fit to the rear, but I did my size calculations last night, and it looks like the only way I can make an adapter fit is if I weld it in place because of the position of the mounting face to the centerline of the rotor.

So, what are my options.

I have seen the GTP brembo kit going for $1800,

I can go find some 930 rear calipers for around $600 (which I would want to match with front 930's) But, I do like the look of the later caliper better.

Is there a third option. Is there a brembo caliper out there (rears off an evo?) or something that I can build an adapter for that will work.

Thanks

Ed
