Help identify this part?

Anyone know what this part is? I received it as part of a box of spare parts and have no idea where it goes, or what it does.

There are some markings on the top as follows:

7.21273.00
and
05T300

Any ideas?

Trog

Don't know what it's called or what car it is for, but it looks like a valve that is part of an emissions control system, possibly the EGR system. I'm not familiar with the system on P cars but this part looks very much like one on my Toyota Landcruiser.

Looks more like a vacuum advance for a distributor.

Part of the vacuum distribution system. Sits above the 3.2 motor on the right side of the engine bay; there's a bracket that holds it. NOT for the distributor, though it kind of looks like it should be.

Part #31 in this parts diagram link.

Best,

Yup, it seems it some sort of vacuum operated valve. Could this be a cold air warm-up valve?
