looking for info and photos of this RSR.

Ive been killing myself trying to decide on a paint for my current IROC project(It was a toss up between viper green and signal orange) as I flipped through some old magazines I came across this car in a old issue of Excellence.. Everything about this car just blows me away. As I started looking for more info on this car I noticed that it has had a few different variations so far. I would love to see more photos of this car...Its funny but looking at this cashmere beige has really made me want to lean towards the softer tans and drab greens of the seventies. toss in quite a bit of black and you wind up with one hell of a stealth looking machine...

More recent pics of this car show it divided into cuts of meat like the famous 917. The last time I saw it (in Monterey a couple of years ago) it still looked like this.

Phil

This thread includes a picture of it at TRE with the 'meat cut' scheme.

I've seen a lot of pictures of this car on the board, but strangely, a couple quick searches aren't yielding many good results.

It's not an RSR interpretation so much as a 934, as the license plate suggests. Whether or not the engine is faithful to the original I don't remember. It's also notable for having center lock wheels. As pictured, the decklid is incorrect for a 934.

If you look closely, you can just see the seams of the 934 style fenders too.

This car was built of of a 78 turbo..still has the turbo..I believe it now has the 934 front bumper. they had to widen the rear fenders to fit the centerlock magnessium RSR wheels(I think they are using 13 inch rears)

I think it is owned by Paul Kramer.

You can go to his website (he buy and sells aircooled Porsches) and you should find loads of pictures and a little story about the car...
