how do I upload a photo?
Hey guys,
Can someone give me quick directions on how to upload a pic to the site? TIA, Dave |
First you have to upload a photo to an online host like Photopoint.com (it's free)
Then after you have the photo in the net then you open the picture you want in the photo album, right mouse click on the location bar and hit "copy". Then go to the BBS and open a new thread. Once you're in the reply box, type what you want then right click again in the reply box. Click on paste, and it should insert the long code which should look something like: "photos@photopoint/albums/4600467.ar.2375034345.blah, blah, blah" Then all you have to do is type: after the text. This will make the BBs accept the code as a picture. Hope this helps. ------------------ Leland Pate ___79 SC Targa |
The picture has to be posted on the net and have a url. To post on the PP board,
Just copy the URL and paste it between the 2 img's. Mark ------------------ Mark B. Wilson 1970 911E mbwilson@home.com http://www.marksobsessions.20m.com/ |
thanks guys! It took me a few attempts, but it worked. At first I thought the [IMG] prefix/suffix were supposed to frame the url. Then I realized they frame the entire message, at least I think that's what I did.
anyway, thanks again! David |

It's kind of on the huge side. I'd list the link (which has URL between the brackets instead of IMG ), like this:
http://www.cheaterswayside.com/uploads/Porsche-2234.jpg Here's a smaller version of the picture: http://24.130.74.80/SilverBullet.jpg A good trick to see how someone did something in a post is to 'look under the hood' by clicking on the edit icon http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/edit.gif of their message.
