Recently I had searched for an original chrome (or anodized aluminum?) decklid grill for an early 911. No one answered my ads for one. I'm wondering as to the availability of such a part, as well as the older (to 67) decklid with the slanted 911 script. Are these parts now rare? and if so what would they be worth? Recently I luckily found a near perfect lid and grille on an abandoned 912 in a field!
I've seen the prices for dash pads. What other early parts are rare and expensive? Let's talk about it! |

i bought my aluminum grill for $20 at easy. hard to find and expensive parts for the short wheel base 911s are:
rear view mirrors horn grilles turn signal lenses (recently avail for $65 each) door handles dashcover (na) i have found easy to be a great resource for salvaged parts at affordable prices. i was just there yesterday for the r gruppe meeting and saw a few of the early grilles in great shape that fit the lid with the center piece. 653-easy. ask for jim or spencer. bob '68 911L |

I don't know if you're still looking for an early grille - if you are, have you seen this one on ebay?
