Rear Heated Window Switch
Im in the process of re-wiring my car and having trouble with the rear heated window setup. In the wiring diagram it only shows 4 connections to the relay but there are actually 6. Also there is a white wire with black stripes the wiring diagram shows this wire but it just runs along the side of other wire for the heater on the diagram then ends without been shown as connected to anything at either side. Does anyone happen to have a picture of the back of the heated window switch on a 72 showing the wires connected? Also whats the white and black wire for?
Steve

Ok ive deterined that my car has a 2 element window heater and thats why there are 6 wires to the relay not 4 as shown on the wiring diagram and the black and white wire is the switch live for the second stage so all I need to work out now is how its wired up. Basically my switch has 4 connectors 1 live 1 earth and two outputs can anyone help with what pin is what?

Hey Steve,
I just read your DDK thread from the link on your signature.. Looks like a really cool project, you have done an amazing job... My little 24x24' garage looks massive compared to the phone booth you are working in!!! Amazing!

Yep, you have definitely been there and back.
Sorry I can't help on your original question, but for a man who's come so far, I can't believe this will be much of a hiccup for you. ![]() Good luck! ianc
