Wheel / Tire fitment on a 1969 911

I have just purchased the car below, it is a 1969 with a 71 2.2 & 901. It currently has 16’s, 205 up front and 225 in the rear.

I have a set of Porsche classics that I really like and would like to see how they look on this car (I really like the similar style on the Rossi car below).

They are for my 90 C4 (964) and are 17’s, 205 up front and 255 in the rear. I am not sure of the offsets other than they work with the C4

Will these fit under the 69’ and if so will they need camber mods, fender rolling etc to avoid ‘re-profiling’ them?!

Thanks
Sam

It looks like the '69 has Carrera or SC flares, so the larger tire sizes will fit, but the 964 offsets are wrong for the early cars. You will have to use spacers to fit the late offsets to the early car. You may have some clearancing issues in the rear with the fender lips, spring plate bolts and oil lines to fit the 255s, but it shouldn't be too bad. I have fit 265s and 275s on 16" rims with essentially the same size (8") RS flares, and I have fit 245s on 8" rims in the front with stock '69-73 flares (the Rossi car has a larger front fender flare.) Determining the correct size of spacers will be essential to minimizing the clearance issues. That will depend on the size and offset of your 964 rims.

Hi i just got a 69T . It's tires are shot and I'm having trouble figuring out wether the fuches are real are repro's. front and rear have 215 60 15 . Right rear rubs a little on back fender. We are trying to raise back to stock. PO told me these are 7 in Deep dish. I can't find any legible markings on the wheels . The 5 inch Fuches on my 63 Cab have a square with an F in them on each one. What tires are a good fit for responsiveness and relative stock look. Thanks
Mark
