T-Bolts for Metal Engine Grill???
Which T-bolts are the correct ones to use for the metal engine grills?
On our host's site, I see the plastic ones to use with the plastic grill but what about for the metal grills? If the plastic ones are to be used, which length?....my 1973 doesn't have A/C so do I use the short or the long ones? Also are 6 T-bolts used in total for the metal grill? I got a sweet duck from Sonjay and I want to make sure I use the correct bolts to mount the metal grill. Thanks!

The 72/73 metal grill should have the T bolts already. They are sandwiched between the stretcher bars which are rivited together. Actually they are just hex head bolts and not true T bolts. If they are missing then your grill sounds like it might have been "worked" at some point.

I recall that it was in great shape so chances are good that the bolts are there. I'll still check the next time I'm at the shop. This is good news that I won't need T-bolts....it sounds like a few less things that I have to buy!
