Cool OT Swimming Pool owners read this..

OK since all you folks have answered all my dumb questions I have asked I will try to repay with my area of expertise. I am a poolman and have been one for about 8 years now. If theres anyone out there that needs advice or has any questions pertaining to the maintenance or water chemistry or how do I get rid of my algae.... ask away either here or email me privately and I will do my best to try to help you resolve your pool problems since summer is just about here.

Hello, again! O.k. I have a free-form gunite pool with a raised spa-white plaster-dark green tile.
1) how do I clean up the yellowish build-up on some of the tile and grout?
2) Do you know of an easy way to vacuum the spa-my vacuum is just too big to get it all?
3) I have a "new" labrador retriever, yellow, who will most likely have access to the pool-wether I like it or not! I would seriously like any tips on how to handle the hair situation with the dog as I don't want to clog up the filter or lines. I use a cartridge filter system, Jacuzzi brand, that was oversized by about 80%. What problems should I look out for in regards to the dog and its' affect on the pool and water chemistry?

Thanks, Doug

Do we really want to continue with these types of threads? An occasional current event off topic thread, I can understand, but the chemistry of water???

All this does is clutter the forum and waste disk space.

No offense meant.

Oh come on, He's only offering to help in an area that he knows alot about.
I bet he feels the same way I do about this board. I often wish I could sort of pay back people who have saved my ass or helped me out. (If anyone has a bomb in their house let me know).
I don't think this will turn into a 200+ post thread.

Plus if Pelican is really worried about disk space I have a feeling that they could can us posting pictures on the BBS.
We are all here because of our common love of Porsches. But, we all kind of consider each other as friends and I don't have a problem with getting to know a "friend" a bit better by learning more about him or her personally.
Please no questions about "building" bombs people.
