OK I am a little confused...I was just reading in the excellence tech notes about lowering a 911. I guess my 911SC has been lowered as it measures 25" at the rear and 25.5 in the front. The article says the 911 should have a very slight nose-down attitude approx one degree slope which will result in a measurement anout .5 inch higher in the front. (this is measuring at the fender lip) OK heres my confusion if the fender lip is .5 higher in the front how can the car have a nose down attitude??? Please explain??

The front wheel opening is larger than the rear for clearance when the front wheels are turned I presume. The slope he is talking about is the rocker panel line. The fender wells are irrelevant to this.

Because the fender is cut out larger for the front wheel (which has to pivot, so the car can turn), than it is for the rear wheel, which merely has to follow.
My car is also 25.5/25 F/R. As you can see, it has a nose-down attitude: (Click the thumbnail for a larger cersion.) ![]() ------------------ Jack Olsen 1973 911 T (3.6) sunroof coupe jackolsen@mediaone.net [This message has been edited by JackOlsen (edited 03-27-2001).] |

Jack,
I thought you had a ducktail on your car! ------------------ Allan Broadribb '70-911E, 2.2l with Webers |

I've got three decklids. One stock, one ducktail, and the 964 lid with retractable spoiler (pictured).
If my girlriend can have dozens of pairs of shoes, then I get to mix and match with my car, right? ![]() ------------------ Jack Olsen 1973 911 T (3.6) sunroof coupe jackolsen@mediaone.net |
