Is there anything other than optimoly one can use to lubricate wheel lugs and shoulders?

If you have the aluminum nuts, I believe the consensus is to use oil rather than anti-seize.

I've never heard that one about oil. I've been using anti-sieze for 30 years with no issues (that I know of). Am I missing something?

Anti-seize...both on the threads and the round-face that touches the wheel...not oil.

how about the surface of the hub which touches the wheel? I sometimes used grease. someone said it's a nono, but the wheel sometimes sticks too hard to the hub.

Are the published factory torque specs still valid with anti-seize on the threads?
Does the TSB specify new torque values? TIA |

no - use the same torque.
As Bruce Anderson explained in an article, the Optimoly does not change the torque spec. (the friction to tension relation that the torque spec. is based on). You can use HT or one other one, but I forget which one it was. a search will (should) pull up the other Optimoly version & more tidbits. To be honest I have used regular anti-seize when I couldn't find the HT, and I am still alive and kicking, (tho not kicking nearly as high as I used to). |

What is HT? Is that "Hi-Temp"? Sorry for the rant, but I find it frustrating when someone goes to the trouble of writing two paragraphs and then abbreviates the one word in the post that matters. Rant off.
Thanks, JA

I have no idea. I don't even know if it is an abbreviation. Contact Porsche and ask them. Or contact Optimoly.
