At a Porsche dealership. Or maybe an automotive paint store. My guess for best quality would be the dealership. When I picked the color for my car they let me take the paint book out side in the sun light.

OT a bit. -sorry, but reading this made me wonder,

if you are painting your car would you be smart to order your color (IE -buy a small touch up bottle) from say paint scratch, and assuming you like it, give the touch up paint to your painter and have them match it?

Maybe I am way to anal here, but. A small bottle of paint or seeing the color on the monitor of your computer "could" be distorted slightly.

That is why I suggested going to the Porsche dealership and looking at their paint chips. Get it from the horses mouth not second hand. The early car paint chips are huge samples. I drove 120 miles (one way) from the coast up to the Porsche dealership. When I did the headliner and carpet I had the fella mail me samples to pick from, I also had leather samples before I had the seats recovered.

Another suggestion is go to a Porsche event and look for a color that floats your boat. See it live with your own eye in the day light! When I looked at Iris Blue Metalic in the show room and on the paint chip under indoor lighting I didn't realize that it had pearl in it until I got the color outside under the sun. See my point.

We are not sure what you are doing, but if I were laying out some serious cash and the time invested in a paint job I would want exactly what I like.

Again just my $.02 worth.
