Bought a "New" to me 05' GT3

I've been searching for a newish TT for awhile, Found this car for sale in my searches. The car is in fantastic condition and PO was asking what I considered to be a very good price. Anyhow instead of a TT I bring home a GT3. I Picked it up in Phoenix and drove it back to Lafayette, 1400 miles of fun.
Here are a few obligatory pics (some taken by the PO and a few by me).

Never in a million years would I park a car of that caliber under a tree.

Oh yeah, congrats!

Beautiful P-Car!! Congrats on your new purchase.......Hey, and it's okay with me if you park YOUR car under a tree to take some pictures. :)

So is there a 88 GP white 911 for sale in Lafayette?
Nice ride, congrats!!!!

Macroni 01-15-2008 04:19 PM

lovely!

Shoepop 01-15-2008 04:25 PM

Congratulations Phil, I believe that is Luis's old car. A lot of posts on it @ 6 speed.com. It sounds likes it's track ready and fast!

ZLP 01-15-2008 04:29 PM

I've driven that car before, very nice.

KCPSG 01-15-2008 04:30 PM

Thanks all,

Right now I am keeping the 88' and will be pulling the motor shortly for @ least a rebuild.

Shoepop you are right..it is Luis's old car and as you said track ready and fast!!!!

nameisbauer 01-15-2008 05:29 PM

Um, this or a TT? I guess you made the right choice...

David 01-15-2008 06:50 PM

Too cool!!! I'd love to put either a 996 TT or GT3 in the garage, but the nod would have to go to the GT3.

efhughes3 01-15-2008 07:01 PM

Nice! I'm trying to get the nerve to buy an '05 myself.....something keeps saying nothing good will come of it. The 1400 mile drive HAD to have been great.

SCHNELE 01-15-2008 08:12 PM

CONGRATS! Sorry abut the caps, enjoy it in good health.

Joe Bob 01-15-2008 08:29 PM

So...yer single right?

Trade ya my 57, 58 and the cab.....straight across....

jwetering 01-15-2008 08:36 PM

Excellent choice. The GT3 is a keeper from where I sit. I hope to be in one myself in a few years. Prices are getting downright attractive aren't they ?

911Rob 01-16-2008 01:10 AM

Congrats Phil, a very sweet GT3 indeed.

K. Roman 01-16-2008 01:13 AM

It looks like you scored.

What are the mods if any? I'd love to test drive that beast!

livi 01-16-2008 03:38 AM

Congrats, that is so sweet!

The GT3 is IMO the absolute model of choice in any iteration. Did you get the first series Mk1 in US?

rouxroux 01-16-2008 04:00 AM

OK Phil, I see a need for a run up I49 real soon for you!;)
