Do any of you guys remember how long it took after registering at "The Porsche Gallery" before you recieved a confirmation email or your name appeared on the gallery? I registered over a week ago. I can go to the site and edit my profile but I never appear in the list.Do I need to just be more patient and wait?

I think Mark might be busy chasing down his local civic authorities for having stolen his Escort.
I've been car of the week for a very long week. ![]() ------------------ Jack Olsen 1973 911 T (3.6) sunroof coupe jackolsen@mediaone.net |

Yeah Jack, no one has complained yet. But the young lady adorning the "all your bases" car may soon take over as Porschemate, I mean, car of the week.

Thanks Jack, I guess I'll set back and be patient. By the way, your time and efforts really do show in "Black Beauty". Awesome ride bud. Almost makes me want to dump my Targa for a sunroof coupe!!

Sorry, Jamey - I've been really busy between car stuff, work stuff, non-Porsche related life stuff (Tribes 2 was released this week) and I haven't had time to update jack. Or Jack, for that matter. Consider yourself luck, Jack

Hey, I'm not complaining! Cheers me up every time I go to the site.
I took it up the PCH, Sunset Boulevard, and Mulholland tonight and had a blast. That engine never ceases to amaze me. You put the pedal to the floor, and you are up above 6,000 rpm in a heartbeat, the dual exhaust roaring. I actually got stopped by a kid in a Supra Turbo who wanted to tell me how cool the engine sounded (he honestly thought -- in a nice, naive way -- that I'd swapped in a Ferrari engine). It goes in for new brakes, suspension, trailing arms, shocks, spring plates, Turbo tie rods, dash, seats and rollbar on Monday. I won't see it until the RS Cup Event Series in late April. It'll probably have the ducktail on the back for that, too. Come to think of it, with all that new gear, it might qualify for car of the week all over again as... Jack you must have the most coveted Porsche on the board!.
I put out a challenge to anyone with a more attractive car. If porsche were ever thinking of a retro style model they should consult with you. ....just had to pay a little hommage to you Jack.

Jack,
How do you manage these instant decklid swaps? Will you have a quick-release kit coming out soon? ![]() ------------------ blue '81 SC Targa |

old_skul has done such a good job with the Porsche gallery, he should consider entering the competition to design a web site for the Russian prime minister, Putin. Perhaps put some 911 pictures on it?
All of the judges in the Putin website contest are named 14:46 // 28.03.2001 There is nine of them. As the Russian Information Agency Novosti informed, the jury board of the Putin website contest had been formed. Previously it was only known that Artemii Lebedev, the art-director of the Artemii Lebedev studio, and the anchor of the EchoNet radio show Alexander Plushev will join the board. Several well-known internet figures on one side, and several high-ranking officials -- on the other, are now also a part of this group. The jury includes: Vladislav Surkov (deputy head of the presidential administration), Alexei Gromov (president’s press-secretary), Igor Shegolev (head of the president’s press-service), Vladislav Borodulin (Gazeta.ru’s editor-in-chief), Marina Litvinovich (CEO and editor-in-chief of Strana.ru), Dmitry Kirsanov (head of the Dmitry Kirsanov’s Studio), Mikhail Hanov (the president of the Rambler internet holding). Besides, certain conditions of the contest have been clarified (they can be found here in full). Applications will be accepted until April 12th. "Participants’ ideas on design, informational content and the structure of the website" in MS Word format, and the design prototypes -- in either JPEG or GIF formats should be sent to konkurs@kremlin.ru.
