Oil drain plug ?
My 83SC has a single drain plug on the bottom of the case, I see alot of posting about SC with sump screen and older style round plate for the drain. Did they change the plug for late 83'S or is mine a factory fluk ?

Your sump screen will be inside the plate that the drain plug is screwed into. There should be 8 nuts that hold this plate on. You will want to get the two gaskets for this plate before you remove it to clean screen.

Not a fluke, just a mid/late-year change to the Carrera crankcase design because the old molds wore out before SC production ended! So, you got the one without the strainer! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
