Help with Brake removal

I have attached a picture to help. I am trying to remove the "dust cover" on the front brakes of my 930.

I need to get this off to have access to release the hub and rotor from the spindle. There are threads in that center hole. Do I need to thread something in there and then twist to remove or should it just pop off?

As you might notice from the picture, I have been trying to remove with pliers. This does not look like a normal dust cover and wanted to see if someone could help me.

Please tell me how to get this thing off.

Thanks,
Bryan

930 Dust Cover Removal.......

You need a long bolt to thread to it to get good leverage. A slide hammer with the correct bolt at the end will do the job. Pliers will be very difficult to get this thing out. A steady 'pull' force is what you need to slide this cap out.

Thanks Tony,

That is what I was looking for. Do you know the size? Is a M10x1.5?

I'm guessing the slide hammer that your talking about looks like a "U" that you slide along the bolt that hits the nut on the end to apply the "pull" force needed to remove correct?

Thanks again,

Bryan
