Question boxter wheels on '78 SC?

There are two ads for '97 Boxter wheels (6&7X16) found in ebay just now. Both ads say they are suitable for an SC. The offset is different from 16" Fuchs, by 24 mm in front, and over 26 mm in the rear, if I'm reading things correctly.

While I probably won't buy them, it brings up a couple of questions: How do you fit them on an SC? Will they rub the fenders? Does anyone have any opinions as to how they might look...cool or otherwise?

Thanks,
Lee - just full of questions.

I've got 16" 5-spoke Boxster wheels on my 76.

I picked them really cheap with new Bridgstone SO2s. I needed some new tires and this worked out as a really cheap way to do it.

They dont really suit the car though.
The Fuchs look MUCH better.

You would need spacers front and rear.
Also on mine the fronts rub a little on full lock.

I think there are so many Boxster 16" wheels about because everyone upgrades to 17" wheels.

I'll try to post a pick later so you can see what they look like, or you could check them out on the gallery site. For which I dont have the URL to hand. Again, I'll dig it out later.

Alex.
