What is the difference between a 3.0 and 3.2?

I have a 2.7 that is due for a rebuild. I am considering a used 3.0 or 3.2 rather than rebuilding my 2.7. My 2.7 still runs great but without a lot of case work it will never have the longevity of a aluminum case. So what is the difference between the 3.0 and 3.2? Can All of my CIS equipment bolt directly on? Anybody know of any low mileage 3.0 or 3.2's for sale in Southern California?

The 3.0 was available from 78-83 and uses CIS, similar to your 2.7, but the CIS is specific to the 3.0 (so you will not be able to bolt on your 2.7 CIS). The 3.2 was in 911s from 84-89 and uses Motronic (electronic) fuel injection. A 3.0 will be more plug-and-play in a car that had a 2.7 with CIS, but a 3.2 is possible as well (but will require more wiring changes).
