Ebay seat score

Picked up the big crate at the terminal after work. I have to say this is the best packing I ever got off ebay.

...and inside was just what I won....

Pair of almost perfect mid 80's turbo sport seats....soft leather...cost less than a decent set of regular seats....love a good early morning BIN

Gonna look great in the carrera....

Good looking seats! You are going to be pleased, I like mine much better compared to the stock ones.

Starting point with the old seats, dried and worn.

Took only a few minutes to remove them.

New installation went just as fast.

The seats are just the first step onto the slippery slope. Nice find.

Maybe 8 or so years ago, I bought a set of sets off of Ebay. Each were pretty well packaged individually in big cardboard boxes. I was relieved to see they had arrived in good shape. By the way, these were a set of old Recaro sport seats in really good shape for $700 at the time. Then I really didn't pay attention to the value of those things & thought I was paying too much but wanted the seats.

You are not alone

I am doing a similar project--replacing old interior with newer one. Here is a shot of where I am with mine.

Looks like we are replacing similar color interior. I went for a lighter color as mine is an soft top.

I had the drivers seat in for a little while, but found my self looking into the visor a bit too much. I am trying to find a way to lower the drivers seat.

This forum offer alot of good advice on how to accomplish that; however, I am having a hard time some one in San Diego to re-weld the drivers side seat rails to a lower position.

Good luck on finding the rest of your pieces!

Seats look good...

I know I'm stating the obvious but you really need to look at this soon.

Looks good!
You should consider switching the seats left-to-right. This will even out the wear and get you more life out of them. Unless you need the heating frequently.

Went for a first drive today, and yes, I need to lower the seat rails also. It rides a bit higher than the sc seats...

Yes, the lock post repair is soon in the future.

Peter, LOL! you did have to say that! I'm keeping photos of my car well out of your sight!

Nice score on the seats, I just missed a similar pair for $150 on Craigs List (cue sounds of gnashing teeth).
