how cold is too cold?
I'm sure I'm not the only one here in the N. East waiting for the cold weather to subside. I have my car winterized with a battery tender, fresh oil in the motor and stabil in the tank.
Wondering if it's warm enough outside to drive the car on the sunny days. Note that I have 20W 50 in the engine currently, which is my only concern about starting it on a cold day. Can I do damage to the internals Currently 24 here in NJ... Thanks, Rob

I think that 20-50 is OK for a cold start from about 25* and above. Of course if the car is in a garage that is warmer then no problem.
I just took my '89 Carrera out Sunday. It was 5* outside but the temp in my garage was 45* so no problem with the start. David

If it's a Porsche, it was designed for extreme cold in Germany. Drive it, it will thank you. Fresh water washdown to remove road salt, grime etc., is recommended.

Ofcourse you can drive. Warm her up properly, which is not by idling...
