Porsche Crest 911 & Porsche World Now available for Purchase thru Pelican!!!

Hi everyone. A lot of you have asked me where you can get 911 & Porsche World. Even in Porsche-soaked Southern California, it can be difficult to find on the newstands. Heck, I write an article for them each month, and I couldn't even find it on 5-6 newstands here in my local area (Los Angeles).

Anyways, that's all changed. Now, Pelican Parts offers 911 & Porsche (and a whole host of other Porsche magazines in the near future) for purchase on-line! Just check it out in our new magazine section:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/book_catalog.htm
(currently uploading the pages as I write this)

Shipping is FREE when added to a Pelican Order (either phone or on-line)!!!

We plan to offer each issue as it comes out. We're starting off slowly, so we only have a few magazines in stock right now, and expect to run out soon.

Here's a glimpse of what's in this month's issue:

News: Three pages of the latest Porsche goings-on from around the world
Animal magic: The new 911 GT2 is a real beast, says Brett Fraser. Are you ready for it?
Porsche Sport: Bad news and good for UK rallying and racing fans. Paul Davies has the latest
Letters: Your chance to tell us what you think. Use it!
Forgotten hero: But what a hero it was! Peter Morgan recalls the all-conquering 908
Rallying to the cause: The second and final part of Paul Davies's bluffers' guide to UK Porsche competition
Watching the clock: Jack Criswell took his digital camera to the Rolex 24 at Daytona. See some of the results here
The perfect pair: Peter Morgan on life with his cherished 911S and Boxster
Country life: Keith Seume meets the extraordinary Ian MacMath and his 914/6 hillclimb car
Plus: Bob the (engine) builder Some uncompromising views on late-model 911 power tuning Every one a winner Can you really build a 944 Challenge car for less than £7000? Read this and you're in with a shout White heat Prize-winning 911 GT3 on track at Hockenheim Running Reports Readers' trials and tribulations * and joys, too Cotton Pre-season musings from our international motorsport correspondent Classified ads Looking for a Porsche bargain? Bet you'll find it here. And we've plenty of wanted ads, too Q & A Porsche problems? We'll do our best to help! Coming soon A brief taste of the May issue of 911 & Porsche World
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't let the title fool you - 911 & Porsche World contains loads of content on watercooled cars and the 914 as well. The content focuses a lot of attention on the restoration, history, and racing of both vintage and modern Porsches. Each issue is typically 120 pages, with about 40-50% of the magazine dedicated to content, not advertising. The layout of the magazine is visually superb, and the photography is always top-notch. Pelican Parts owner Wayne R. Dempsey frequently writes monthly technical articles for 911 & Porsche World, and wholeheartedly recommends that everyone at least try reading it once if you haven't seen it before - you'll be hooked!

Thanks everyone for your support!

-Wayne

Question

Wayne,
The turbo-tie upgrade in the Jan. 2001 issue was a great article... I'll be taking that project up in the next few months.. Hopefully I can skip the alternator replacement for some years to come.... How 'bout an illustrated article on how to change out the exhaust studs without first sacrificing a virgin to the Porsche gods????

Keep 'em coming....
Pete
