Type 930s(86-89)is there a year to avoid

I sold my 75s and am now on my way to saving for the 930s. I remember hearing something a while back about avoiding one of those years due to _____. Anyone have a comment on what this _____ might be? Thanks http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/smile.gif

Hmm The only thing I can think of is the very early turbos did not have a intercooler. The years you list I think the only real change was to the G50 for 1989.

No need to avoid any of the '86-89 US Turbos.
The major difference is the '89 is the only year with a 5 speed, the 86-88 is a 4 speed.
Being the newest and having the 5 speed makes the '89 the most desireable, but the '86-88 are very nice, too.

89 turbo with the 5 speed for sure.
