1976 911S Engine oil drip on a hot muffler

My 2.7 liter engine (76 911S) has some oil driping, which is a fact of life. The diagnose is that it is coming from the nose gasket and that as long at it is minimal and I contine to keep an eye on it, there is no need to go crazy. The engine is strong and runs well in every way as it appproches 110k miles. (one rebuild at 60k).

After about 2hrs of highway driving last week, I pulled back in the garage and smelled a buring oil odor along with some minimal smoke coming from under the car. With the engine running and pointing a flashlight, I see where there is some burning off of some dropletes that must be hitting the center pipe bewteen the two heater exchangers or the muffler.

Is there a fix, other than pulling the engine for new gaskets that I can try? I am using 20-50W oil and as I mentioned earlier, the dripping on the floor is very minimal, but the smell of burning oil on a hot pipe is of concern. Thanks
