85 Defogger Fuse Missing, OK to leave out?

Hey Gents,

I was checking out my rear window defogger, in the engine compartment PO removed the #3 Defogger Fuse. I have no idea why and can't contact PO to inquire.

Has anyone removed and left their Defogger/Rear Window Wiper Fuse out for any particular reason?

I just want to make certain reinstalling the fuse is not going to adversely effect my baby besides making the rear defogger to work. FYI I have tint on the rear window and the defogger knob switch turns on when I pull the or turn the knob.

TIA

Well, (it's the top of the three?) mine fell out for several months, and my rear defroster wasn't working. I just found it last week and put it back... everything works great.

I took a leap and replaced the 25 amp fuse. Turned her on and the defogger knobs, to the right, out and both.

Thank God, she kept running and I did not observe any adverse effects. Fuse stayed together.

I am going to check to see if the relay switches with a helper later.

I hope that is the case for me too. I never noticed until I tried to use the defogger.

Thanks for replying brother
