megasquirt help

I am installing a Megasquirt II EFI using a trimmed CSI plenum and a stock TB. Also, I am using a GM IAC, Bosch TPS, 30# (adjusted to 28#) Ford injectors and Innovate WB O2. The engine is a stock 3.0 with a 964 cam grind. Does any one have a basic .msq file and the VE/AFR tables that I could use to get the car running?
Thanks,
Jim S.

Jim, megasquirt has a way to make a starting table. I'll try and find the link to where you can do this.

To start you tuning efforts with MegaSquirt-II (or MicroSquirt), you can calculate an initial VE table that has sufficient RPM and kPa bins, as well as an estimate of the VE based on your maximum torque and horsepower figures. To do this, use the Tables/VE Tables/Tools/Generate VE Table utility in MegaTune2.25+. This calculated VE table will need to be tuned carefully to avoid damage to your engine, however.

Where are you in NC? Are you using megaviewer?

Duke, I've got a TBitz msq and VE tables. I was looking for something closer to my particular config. I'm over in the Ft. Bragg area.

Eric, I'll call tomorrow.

Jim, what I've found is establish the table with their table generator as it will get you started and idling. Then you can start using the datalogger and megaviewer to start tuning right away. This puts your engine and the ms as the only basis for your tables. Your not trying to fix someone else possible problem.

Just my .02, it's the only way to go, until you can get some dyno time and really refine everything.

PS- make certain all you're wiring is correct and you have a relay running the ms and injectors. not just ran off the ignition switch, ask me how I know.

Ben, The idiot that wired my ms (me) went directly to the ignition switch. Their is too much "noise" in the switch. And this was causing the low impedance injectors and the ms itself to see variable voltage and amperage. Both of these are bad when you figure the high demand of consistant input to both.

I'm not certain I'm saying all that correctly, all I can tell you is I put a relay in to supply power directly from the battery to the ms and injectors and all my problems were solved. Mostly I can run 6 squirts alternating now where before I could only get it to run half-a**ed on 2 squirts simul.

BTW- check out your muffler on the exhaust sound clip thread. Had fun at the dyno today.

Duke, do you have access to a dyno?

The one I was on today is at BRE Motorsports. They were having an open house and asked if I would like to see how their dyno compares to the dynojet at the shop.

It showed about 6% lower comparing corrected numbers.
