993 brake pedals in a Carrera?

Does anyone know if the cluch/brake pedal cluster from a 993 will work in a Carrera? I have a 84 Carrera with the Brake light switch on the master cyl. I really want to do away with this type of switch. I know the 993 pedal cluster has the switch on the cluster and I can get my hands on one. Just wondering if anyone knows if the 993 cluster could work in the Carrera.

Thanks.
