Need a Pet owner's help with VIN info

New member here - great resource so far!

Already rewired my front lighting system using a color wiring diagram found here.

Anyways, new owner of a '74 that has some "interesting" components.

Would anyone be willing to check VIN 9114310140 for me and tell what this baby was when she came out of Stuttgart?

Thx for the help in advance!

A 911S Targa. Or Sporto. Or Sporto Targa. What's your engine #?

Thx Sandy!

This is where it gets interesting...it has a 901 tranny attached to engine # 6109445 - a 2.2L I think.

I thought you wanted my pet bird to help you with a VIN #. Figured I was a pet owner, but my bird is no good with computers.

Yup - I figured as much. Just glad its not the 911T motor.

It's sitting under Webers and runs pretty strong! The 2.7 must have blown apart early in its life. Luckily I didn't pay alot for it and its a So. Cal. car so no rust. Having fun giving it TLC!

Thx for all the help!!

Personally, I think the 2.2 E engine is one of the best engines Porsche ever built. Enjoy!
