Need a Pet owner's help with VIN info
New member here - great resource so far!
![]() Already rewired my front lighting system using a color wiring diagram found here. Anyways, new owner of a '74 that has some "interesting" components. ![]() Would anyone be willing to check VIN 9114310140 for me and tell what this baby was when she came out of Stuttgart? Thx for the help in advance! |

A 911S Targa. Or Sporto. Or Sporto Targa. What's your engine #?

Thx Sandy!
This is where it gets interesting...it has a 901 tranny attached to engine # 6109445 - a 2.2L I think. |

I thought you wanted my pet bird to help you with a VIN #. Figured I was a pet owner, but my bird is no good with computers.

Yup - I figured as much. Just glad its not the 911T motor.
It's sitting under Webers and runs pretty strong! The 2.7 must have blown apart early in its life. Luckily I didn't pay alot for it and its a So. Cal. car so no rust. Having fun giving it TLC! Thx for all the help!! |

Personally, I think the 2.2 E engine is one of the best engines Porsche ever built. Enjoy!
